I wrapped my Arizona Ash in shade cloth at the beginning of the summer. The sun has been absolutely relentless this year.

Royal Trumpet Vine

Got this vine on clearance at Lowe's. I know it's not a good time to stick it in the ground but I did it anyway. That's just how I roll.
Lessons learned, hopefully
The new watermelon plant is in the ground. I planted the same variety so that I can learn from my mistakes. I will water a little less and prune to cultivate four melons. Wish me luck!
Back yard journal

Loofahs gone wild
This loofah was planted by my two oldest daughters. It apparently has it in for the cat claw vine. Down boy!
